With Event Zone Poem Structure I have spun the globe and placed my finger on chance destinations (perennial practice of the child). In fact, I used Google Earth so that I was able to acquire the coordinates of each location, or event zone. Each day of the year activates a different event zone, the borders of which are represented in the text by four sets of coordinates respectively. All speech within an active event zone constitutes the cacophonous/ silent poem, the poem which is both imagined and actual.

BIO

Sacha Archer is a Canadian writer, visual artist and ESL Instructor currently residing in Ontario. He was the recipient of the 2008 P.K. Page Irwin Prize for his poetry and visual art, and in 2010 he was chosen to participate in the Elise Partridge Mentor Program. His work has appeared in journals such as filling Station, ACTA Victoriana, h&, illiterature, NōD, and Experiment-O.
